Confident Captain’s Marine Radio Operator Permit exam is designed to meet all Federal Communication Commission (FCC) testing requirements and prepare you to obtain your permit.
Confident Captain’s Marine Radio Operator Permit exam is designed to meet all Federal Communication Commission (FCC) testing requirements and prepare you to obtain your permit. This exam benefits operators of a vessel that has a ship’s station license and are required to hold an FCC license as Marine Radio Operator Permit (MROP) or higher. Note that this is not a course of instruction. It is an examination ONLY. In order to participate in the FCC MROP (Marine Radio Operator Permit) Exam the following criteria must be met:

Course Outline
Ship’s Station Licenses Issued by the FCC The ship station license is issued to the vessel and registers all the vessel’s radio transmitting equipment, including radar, with the Federal Communication Commission (FCC). In turn the FCC issues the vessel a set of call signs that are used to identify the vessel when making radio calls on either VHF or SSB radio. A Ship’s Station Licenses may be issued to any vessel, and is required for all inspected vessels, towing vessels over 26 feet in length, and all uninspected vessels greater than 65 feet in length. The operator of a vessel that has a ship’s station license is required to hold an FCC license as Marine Radio Operator Permit (MROP) or higher. This module meets all FCC testing requirements.
