A new study by the US Coast Gaurd states that an injury due a boating accident occurs every 2.5 hours. So many of these accidents can be prevented if a high regard for boating safety and awareness is adhered to while onboard. Experience does not always equate to safety. Education is a key factor in helping prevent accidents. That is why Confident Captain has launched a new “Docking with Donuts” series for boaters in Rhode Island.

Come down every Saturday from April until October for a 90-minute session for $99 where professional captains will cover a range of boating safety topics and offer hands-on practical experience onboard a 23-foot center console.

Confident Captain also offers Start Powerboating Right, a 16-hour comprehensive course that can be taken online or in a classroom for 8 hours followed by a day of on-water practice.
